Juridical Review of Penal Policy in Handling Narcotics in Indonesia

This study aims to analyze the penal policy in tackling narcotics Indonesia. The used a juridical normative approach. results showed that efforts tackle criminal acts of abuse have two ways, namely using non-penal means or preventive measures (preventing before crime occurs) and repressive actions (after has occurred). Repressive are all taken by law enforcement officials response occurrence act, including investigations, prosecutions, even crimes. Indonesia, its abuse, formed legal product deal with this problem, issuance Law Number 22 1997 concerning Narcotics, which been amended 35 2009 Narcotics. Apart from these laws, there also other regulations, both form ministerial regulations head BNN, as well joint decrees between minister, BNN Indonesian National Police.
